A lovely and exciting day for Tzu Chi Australia in Sydney yesterday 14/10/22 Pandemic is easing , NSW State is slowly opening up, but with 102 days of lockdown , there is lots of desperate residents among our local community ( City of Ryde). Tzu Chi Australia is lucky to work with Link Wentworth, providing us with name lists for the food hampers delivery 55 food parcels with daily non perishable foods to be personal hand delivered to residents in 5 location. It is hard to believe that there is so many residents living in that little dark corners and Tzu Chi is so grateful to help them. Many are sick( physically and mentally) old and weak, domestic violence too.... Residents were so happy to meet us and more names are expected to be added in for our next round of delivery ! 35 food parcels were delivered to the Chinese Community in another public housing These Chinese residents are living alone and in poor health . They are ever so happy to see us and talk to us . Each parcel have a copy of small Chinese book for leisure reading . It is more of a blessing to serve others than to be serve
