Dear Tzu Chi Family,
Happy New Year!
In the last three years, COVID-19 has disrupted our lives and many of Tzu Chi activities had to be cancelled. Post the pandemic, Tzu Chi Australia has gradually resumed its activities. On behalf of all Tzu Chi members in Australia, I would like to express our heartiest gratitude for your support during these times.
We sincerely invite you and your family/friends to join us at the 2023 New Year Blessing Ceremony to be thankful for the passing of the epidemic and to welcome the Year of the Rabbit.
At the ceremony, we will share the footprints of the great love around the world and the work of Tzu Chi volunteers have done across Australia. There will also be performances and most importantly the presentation of the Blessing and Wisdom Red Packet from Dharma Master Cheng Yen.
From a humble beginning, Tzu Chi has been around globally for more than half a century, whilst Tzu Chi Australia marks its 31st year. We are grateful to all Tzu Chi volunteers from all around the world for their dedication and persistent so that the power of love will be everlasting.
“Compassion and good deeds are blessings.”
An ancient saying quotes: “Those who have done a lot of good deeds will have more blessings.” May we cultivate good deeds and share love with others. Doing good with a kind and compassionate heart, regardless of race, religion and background. With a compassionate heart, we create blessings and accumulate virtue to bring happiness, social harmony and world peace. This is the Buddha’s teaching.
From the bamboo bank era years ago till now, Tzu Chi has been helped 128 countries/ regions around the world. Master Cheng Yen leads Tzu Chi Members to practise the Bodhisattva Way and to uphold the Tzu Chi family traditions. There will be “Return of the Bamboo Banks” ceremony on the day. Do bring your bamboo banks along and share your love with all. May your kindness and love alleviate sufferings and eliminate disasters.
Finally, we wish you best of health, happiness and may your life be filled with blessings and wisdom.
