There are many disasters around the world. In southern Thailand, heavy downpours continued for over a week, causing flooding that affected tem provinces. In Japan, in the quake aftermath, the nuclear crisis still continues it has been reported that radioactive water has leaked into the ocean. We must promote vegetarianism. Besides not eating animals farmed on land, we also shouldn’t eat fish and other sea life.

The Buddha teaches us to guide all living beings to liberation and enlightenment. As Buddhists, we need to have Four Great Vows: the vow to guide all beings to enlightenment,
the vow to end all afflictions,
the vow to learn innumerable Dharma for transformation, and
the vow to attain Buddhahood...
